Rashford back with the “Three Lions”: Makes Thomas Tuchel’s England Squad.

Heading into the international week, Tuchel dropped his squad list to face  Albania next Friday and Latvia three days later at Wembley Stadium. Marcus Rashford was one of the lucky players selected, others are Jorden Henderson, Dan Burn, Lewis -SKelly.

Rashford has been on great form and very instrumental; he has helped Aston Villa and his loan team defeat Club Brugge in the round of 16 of the Champions League.

Rashford was left out of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad because of his final England appearance, which took place at Wembley in a friendly match against Brazil in March of last year.

Despite having eight goals in his 60 England caps, the 27-year-old was dropped from the national team due to his poor club performance. Shortly after the Portuguese took over at Old Trafford, he was then removed from the match-day squads by United manager Ruben Amorim.

With four assists and a remarkable improvement in play, a loan move to Villa has paid off, and the Premier League team’s victory over Club Brugge on Wednesday has advanced them to the Champions League quarterfinals.

England’s team:

Goalkeepers: James Trafford (Burnley), Aaron Ramsdale (Southampton), Jordan Pickford (Everton), and Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace)

Defenders: Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Tino Livramento (Newcastle), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool), Kyle Walker (AC Milan), Dan Burn (Newcastle), Levi Colwill (Chelsea), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), and Reece James (Chelsea).

Midfielders: Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Jordan Henderson (Ajax), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), and Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace)

Forwards: West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon, Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford, and Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke

THOMAS TUCHEL.
