Patrice Evra has mixed emotions about Manchester United. He blames his bitter 2014 exit from the team on “broken promises” related to his contract.
Evra asserts that the club’s director, Ed Woodward, had orally consented to his departure following a discussion about family matters; however, the club secretly announced a one-year contract extension. As a result, Evra and Woodward got into a heated argument.
Evra has recently voiced his displeasure with Manchester United’s on-field performance.
He chastised the players for their lack of tenacity and refusal to accept accountability for their subpar play. Evra feels that rather than blaming the manager or the board alone, the players themselves should be held responsible for their actions.
