The Kano Pillars Football Club’s management board has  Appointed former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa as the club’s  new General Manger completely reorganized by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

 

The governor’s spokeswoman, Sanusi Tofa, made the announcement in an official statement. Following the  conclusion of the previous board’s one-year term, the reform is a component of what Governor Yusuf called a “strategic effort to reposition Kano Pillars for greater success.”

“This is more than just a reshuffle. It is a deliberate initiative to blend football experience with strong administration. The inclusion of Ahmed Musa reflects our desire to attract investment, inspire players, and reignite fans’ passion for the club,” the statement read.

One of Nigeria’s most well-known football players, Ahmed Musa, has represented elite teams in the Turkish Super Lig, Russian Premier League, and English Premier League. Additionally, he led the Super Eagles, the Nigerian national team. Fans and stakeholders are excited about his appointment, especially those who remember his playing days with the Kano-based team.

 

Regarding his new position, Musa stated: “Kano Pillars has always been close to my heart. I’m honoured by this opportunity to contribute in a new capacity. We have great talent, a loyal fan base, and with the right structure, we can aim higher and compete for titles.”
