Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong’s release clause has been activated as Liverpool FC finalizes the £29.5 million purchase of the player from Bayer Leverkusen. Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is scheduled to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, will be directly replaced by the 24-year-old, who has committed to a five-year contract.
With 25 goals and 29 assists in 123 games, Frimpong—who is known for his offensive ability—played a major role in Leverkusen’s success. It is anticipated that his energetic style would enhance Liverpool’s tactical strategy under manager Arne Slot.
Along with his club transfer, Frimpong has signed a lucrative £20 million boot endorsement contract with New Balance, putting him in the company of football greats like Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi. This collaboration also helps his charity, Pathways, which helps young football players.
Milos Kerkez, a 21-year-old Hungarian international, is a left-back for Bournemouth who is also being pursued by Liverpool, according to sources.
